The purpose of Asolo Rep's annual gala, themed "Broadway Begins Here!," was twofold this year: it raised funds to support the artists that are part of the theater's 2022-2023 season and its education and engagement programs, and it honored retiring producing artist director Michael Donald Edwards and managing director Linda DiGabriele.

At the bash, which was held at the Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, there was dinner and dancing, along with live music from Gary Racan and the Studio E Band, along with a special performance by Ana Isabelle and Justin Gregory Lopez—the leads in Asolo Rep's production of Evita—conducted by Sinai Tabac.
