The Child Protection Center's Blue Ties & Butterflies at Michael's On East brought out a sea of lovely blue gowns, and featured a lively art auction, with a highlight being a custom-painted butterfly by Clara Reynardus de Villanueva that incorporated handprints from clients and champions of CPC. (That went for $40,000). The high bidder for that item donated it to CPC's new North Port facility, where the organization is expanding to meet the needs of the growing community.
