Renowned Rabbi in Sarasota for Scholar-in-Residence Weekend

Salkin, who is known for his writing, teaching and activism, will focus on the theme of healing at Temple Sinai.

Rabbi Jeffrey Salkin will join Temple Sinai for its annual Scholar-in-Residence weekend on March 4-5. Salkin, who is known for his writing, teaching and activism, will focus on the theme of healing, an important topic after almost two years of the Covid 19 pandemic.

Salkin's work has been cited in The New York Times, The New Republic and USA Today. He has appeared on television and radio programs, and has spoken in more than a hundred communities, including Israel, Great Britain, Cuba and Poland. He writes an opinion column, Martini Judaism, for the Religion News Service.  Several of his books have won national awards. He is the author of Putting God on the Guest List: How to Reclaim The Spiritual Meaning of Your Child’s Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Salkin is senior rabbi at Temple Israel of West Palm Beach.
