Finally, the long-delayed touring production of the Broadway musical hit, based on the true story of stranded passengers in Newfoundland on 9/11, arrives in Sarasota. And while the story is rooted in a tragedy, the show should leave you feeling uplifted, as a small town’s residents and a wide variety of strangers come together. At the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall (no show Thanksgiving Day). Call (941) 263-6799 or visit vanwezel.org.
