Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe Celebrates Theater Grand Opening

WBTT's $8.7 million Heart & Soul capital campaign funded renovations to both buildings on its campus, as well as improvements to the parking lot and grounds.

WBTT leaders, capital campaign donors, and those involved with the design and construction of the theater renovations participate in the ceremonial ribbon cutting.

On Feb. 10, Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe (WBTT) celebrated the grand opening of its newly renovated theater, now known as the Gerri Aaron & The Aaron Family Foundation Theatre Building. In attendance were WBTT leaders and supporters, civic and foundation leaders, and representatives from C. Alan Anderson Architect, P.A., and Willis Smith Construction. Guests enjoyed refreshments and a ceremonial ribbon cutting, before gathering in the mainstage Donelly Theatre for acknowledgements of those who contributed to the $8.7 million dollar Heart & Soul capital campaign, as well as a performance featuring popular WBTT artists and Stage of Discovery students.
