Twilight Zone UnScripted, at Florida Studio Theatre’s Sarasota Improv Festival July 14-16.

Hip hop, French farce, the Twilight Zone—who knew these are all genres of improv comedy? You’ll experience them and many others at Florida Studio Theatre’s three-day Sarasota Improv Festival on July 14, 15 and 16. The ever-expanding festival, now in its eighth year, offers comedy from 18 of the country’s top improv groups (and actually beyond; one group originates in Canada and another in Colombia). Among the newbies are headliner Impro Theatre (the Twilight Zone: Unscripted approach) and Parallelogramophonograph, from Austin, Texas (the French farce one). Lots of popular returning groups as well, like Improv Boston, North Coast and Available Cupholders. For a complete line-up and info on passes, call 366-9000 or go to floridastudiotheatre.org
