Visit Sarasota County announced last week that its president Virginia J. Haley has been re-appointed to the Visit Florida board of directors through June 30, 2022. Haley currently serves as the 2019-2020 Chair of the Visit Florida board, a position in which she works closely with Visit Florida, the state's official tourism marketing corporation, to ensure the not-for-profit corporation was reauthorized through October 2023 and that funding was solidified by the legislature for 2020-2021. Visit Sarasota County, the local destination marketing organization (DMO), is a partner of Visit Florida and connects its initiatives and opportunities with Sarasota County industry businesses.
