Artist John Pirman often visits Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium. On his latest visit, he watched a mother and her son admiring a sea turtle. “I learned this sea turtle was rescued after it was injured by a boat’s propeller,” he says. “Because of Mote and the work they do to care for our underwater treasures, we were able to get up close and see this spectacular creature.”
