Florida Digestive Health Specialists recently welcomed a new gastroenterologist to one of their Sarasota locations. David Schwimmer, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and his internal medicine residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville and will be practicing at Sarasota Digestive Health Specialists. Schwimmer’s particular areas of interest are the diagnosis, care and treatment of IBD, as well as immunological diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
