As a financial advisor, Melissa specializes in a modern, relationship-focused approach to financial planning and wealth management where clients are treated as more than just their financial assets—they’ll find a financial home for their whole self. Her firm, Clarity Financial Design, provides fiduciary, fee-only, transparent financial advice. Melissa is an advocate for making financial advice more friendly, relatable, and impactful. For her expertise, she has been featured in national publications including The New York Times, Forbes, and MarketWatch.

When she’s not working, Melissa enjoys volunteering in the Sarasota community. She’s made a commitment to spend 10% of her time supporting organizations that are meaningfully impacting the well-being of local women and families. She is currently Treasurer and Trustee of Hershorin Schiff Community Day School, a Board Member and Finance Committee member at The Florida Center, a Finance Committee member with Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, a School Advisory Council member for Phillippi Shores Elementary School, and a member of Impact 100 SRQ.

Melissa grew up in Sarasota and is proud to be raising her two daughters here with her husband, Steven. On a typical Saturday, you’ll find her at the beach, the farmer’s market, or cheering on the Michigan Wolverines (Go Blue!).
