The Greater Sarasota Chamber's vice presidentEd Hill, has been named a recipient of the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals’ Professional of the Year Award.

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens recently announced that Phase One of its three-phase Master Plan has achieved Living Building Challenge Petal certification from Living Future, a leading environmental non-profit organization.

Donte’s Den Foundation has appointed Claudia A. Harden as its new director of marketing and development.

Sarasota County Schools recently celebrated its volunteers, business partners and community partners at the district’s annual Outstanding Volunteer Awards reception. This year's recipients are Susan Sanderson, Outstanding Senior Adult Volunteer (Brentwood Elementary School); Sara Winter, Outstanding Adult Volunteer (Atwater Elementary School); Rotary Club of Sarasota, Outstanding Business Partner (Emma E. Booker Elementary School, Booker Middle School, Booker High School); and Alyssa Bartolome, Outstanding Youth Volunteer (McIntosh Middle School). 

B&I Contractors, Inc. promoted Thomas Dierking from project engineer to project manager for its West Central Region.
