The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota has named Rajesh (Raj) Khubchandani as its new general manager. Khubchandani will oversee all resort, residence, beach club and golf club operations for the property, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

A hotelier for more than 28 years, Khubchandani most recently served as Marriott's vice-president of luxury brand operations and held several leadership positions at other Ritz-Carlton properties, including general manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner; general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Boston and The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton Towers, Boston Common; and opening hotel manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles. A native of India, he is a graduate of the University of Calcutta and also studied strategic hospitality management at Cornell University, finishing his post-graduate studies at the Oberoi Center of Learning and Development in New Delhi, India.
