Tammy Jones, staff accountant at Visit Sarasota County, wasn’t sure why friend and co-worker Erin Duggan was snapping pictures of her at her desk until Duggan revealed submitting her photo for a Biz(941) makeover. Duggan says Jones is a hard-working full-time employee, raised three sons as a single mom and now spends all her free time studying for a bachelor’s degree. The result is she’s put her own needs on the back burner. Originally reluctant, Jones evolved from asking her friend, “What did you do?” to “I’m so glad you did it!”

TAMMY’S GOAL:  “I felt all my clothes were the same. I wanted to try something new and different and brighten my look a bit by adding some color.”

JACKIE’S GOAL: “Tammy was tired of all of the solid black and brown in her closet. I selected this ivory knit dress with a gold detail at the waist as the perfect base to pair with any color. Its deep neckline and high-cut collar is modern, fresh and can be worn with or without jewelry at the neck and still be stylish. I added the jacket for its bold raspberry color and classic cut. It defines her waist while framing the neckline of the dress. The best part of adding two classic pieces: The blazer worn with jeans or pants, and the dress paired with a lightweight sweater or wrap, give Tammy options; plus, the ivory color of the dress offers choices for color pairings.”

TAMMY’S TAKE: “I appreciated the pointers about how clothes should fit me. Normally I would not be drawn to a raspberry blazer to be worn over a beautiful dress, but once I was wearing the outfit, I felt happier and more attractive.”
