Downtown Sarasota's Sage Restaurant has been awarded a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 2021. It marks Sage chef Chris Covelli’s sixth Wine Spectator Award of Excellence; he was previously honored for the wine menu at his Cape Cod restaurant L’Uva.
Sage also recently rolled out a new summer menu, which draws inspiration from countries like India and Spain. Dishes include Gulf Coast fish specials accented with ingredients like lemongrass and coconut, as well as chilled soups. A new cocktail menu highlights citrus, strawberry tomato and other summre flavors that complement tequila, mezcal and whiskey. The bar team has also created a full non-alcoholic beverage menu using homemade cordials and non-alcoholic spirits.
