This fall, you'll have a new source for your morning coffee and pastry. Mademoiselle Paris, a new breakfast and lunch café, is set to open at 1605 Main St., Sarasota, in October.

The new eatery is the second Mademoiselle Paris in the area. The first replaced C'est La Vie! near the University Town Center mall last October. But the new downtown location is not a strict copy of the original. While the first Mademoiselle Paris serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, the new restaurant will be strictly focused on breakfast and lunch.

Jean Dandonneau, who owns the restaurants with his wife, Myriam, says the new Mademoiselle Paris will be more of a "quick-service" restaurant than the first location and the menu will be focused on croissants and other pastries, salads, quiches and other similar items.

"This second location is exciting for us for so many reasons,” said Myriam, according to a press release. "We moved to Sarasota from Paris six years ago to pursue a new life. We come from a long line of French chefs, so we opened the restaurant and bakery at UTC. Now we are growing with a sister location in the city that we love so much."
