Demolition of Longboat Key Restaurant Begins Tuesday
Columbia Restaurant Group is demolishing PattiGeorge's to make way for a new restaurant, The Buccaneer.

Tampa's Columbia Restaurant Group will begin demolition on the old PattiGeorge's restaurant on Longboat Key at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26, in preparation for construction of The Buccaneer, a new restaurant on the property. Demolition is expected to take approximately two weeks; no construction schedule or opening date for The Buccaneer has been announced. The Columbia Restaurant Group purchased the property from Tommy Klauber in 2016. The planned restaurant is named in tribute to the Buccaneer Inn, which opened on Longboat Key in 1957 and closed in 2005.
