Southern accents sometimes sound out of place in Sarasota, Florida. Not in the office of Timothy G. Herring, D.M.D., where the term “Southern gentleman” is considered a wonderful compliment. “Many people are nervous at their dental visits and we try to soothe their fears with patience and communication,” he says.

A graduate of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, Dr. Herring was fortunate to train early in his career at both the Pankey Institute and the Dawson Academy. “This early foundation in comprehensive, conservative treatment allows us to evaluate the entire mouth, giving optimal care to each patient. With this approach, we can actually help our patients fulfill their dental expectations.”

Commitment to continuing education is a must in the ever-changing world of dentistry. Dr. Herring has been awarded fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in recognition of those continuing education goals. His career long commitment to excellence, ethics, professionalism and leadership in dentistry was recognized in 2020 with a fellowship in the American College of Dentists. He is honored to once again be recognized by his peers as a Top Dentist for 2023.
