The Soiree evening welcomed guests for cocktails and viewings of the galleries' exhibitions before dinner and remarks by Ringling College president Dr. Larry R. Thompson and new museum executive director Virginia Shearer. Then a paddle raise garnered more than $200,000 from the crowd to benefit the museum and its programs.
