After a year off due to the pandemic, the Siesta Key Crystal Classic sand sculpting competition returned last weekend, Nov. 12-15, with 24 professional and amateur sand artists wowing visitors with their outrageous and improbable designs made entirely of sand. A portion of the proceeds from this year's event benefits scholarships for Ringling College of Art and Design students.
