The American economy added 201,000 jobs in August while the nation's unemployment stayed the same, 3.9 percent, according to new data released Friday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Job gains occurred primarily in services, health care, wholesale trade, transportation, warehousing and mining, according to the bureau.
