Construction officially began on The Mark in downtown Sarasota this week after the demolition of the building located at 1400 State Street. Work on the foundation of the new building is now underway. The Mark will include 157 residences, 35,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and 11,000 square feet of office space. The project is expected to be completed by late 2019.
