Attention all powder hounds! Summer is fading fast and it's time to pick up those season passes, if you haven't already. Every year the resorts seem to come up with more ways to make passes more competitive in the market, especially here in Utah where we have so many options for winter fun. Here's the latest information on deadlines to snag the best deals at area resorts for the upcoming season!

Park City Resorts

Deer Valley Resort

If you're a Deer Valley loyalist, you have until October 31st to pick up your season pass at the current pricing. They offer several options, including adults ages 24-26 ($2,295), young adult 18-23 ($1,890), teen ages 13-17 ($970), child ages 5-12 ($580), tot ($155 or free with purchase of adult season pass), and more. It may be the priciest pass on the market, but Deer Valley season passes do come with a slew of appealing benefits, including 20 percent discounts to many Deer Valley restaurants (The Brass Tag, Seafood Buffet, Royal Street Café or The Mariposa) for you and a guest, a Snowpark Restaurant Lunch Card (20 percent off at Snowpark from 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.), Summer Season Passes, Buddy Passes, and benefits programs at several area resorts:

• Wasatch Benefit Program: Two complimentary day tickets at Alta Ski Area, Snowbird and Solitude Mountain Resort.
• Solitude Mountain Benefit: Two additional complimentary day tickets plus two complimentary summer day tickets at Solitude Mountain.
• Brighton Resort Benefit: Two winter complimentary day tickets to Brighton Resort.
• Steamboat Ski Resort Benefit: Three winter complimentary day tickets at Steamboat Ski Resort

Park City Mountain Resort

Vail Resorts is once again offering the regular Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass for Park City Mountain Resort. The full Epic Pass ($859) and the Epic Local Pass ($639) are available at the lowest pricing until Monday, Sept. 4. Remember, the full Epic Pass gives you unrestricted access to Park City Mountain and Vail Resort's 14 other properties plus access to 30 European properties, while the Epic Local Pass has holiday restrictions (on 11/24/17–11/25/17, 12/26/17–12/31/17, 1/13/18, 2/17/18–2/18/18) at Vail, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, and Stowe. 

For the 2017-18 ski season, Park City Mountain is also bringing back the Epic SchoolKids program. All Utah K-5 elementary school children are eligible to receive five free days of skiing and snowboarding at the mountain as well as a free first-timer ski or snowboard lesson with complementary rental equipment. Registration for the program closes on Oct. 8th.

Also on offer are the Epic 7-Day and Epic 4-Day passes (no restrictions) for $639 and $419, respectively, until Monday, Sept. 4. They're available to anyone, but pair particularly well for parents who wish to accompany their kids for the free days.

Surrounding Area Resorts

Snowbird

Determined to ski or snowboard the Bird this year? Mark your calendar for Sept. 10th to get the best pricing available. For full unrestricted access to the Longest Season in Utah, choose the new Summit Pass for unlimited skiing/riding, no blackout dates, the Wasatch Benefit (two day tickets to each Alta, Deer Valley, and Solitude) and other amazing benefits ($999 adults, $659 young adults ages 15-18 & seniors 65+). If you don't mind not having Tram access, the Chairs Only Value Pass still affords you the option to ski/ride any day of the week all season long with no blackout dates for $200 less. Alta

The deadline to grab the lowest pricing at Alta is Sept. 13. They have a number of different passes on offer, starting with the Adult Unlimited for $999 ($649 for ages 18-25, $699 seniors 65-79). If you can prove you're 80 or older, you're eligible to purchase the ridiculously cheap $50 Ages 80+ Season Pass. Parents looking for deals for young children should also take note of the unbeatable $50 and $25 season passes available for a limited time for kids 6 and under as well as the Alta Family Season Pass ($1,999 for 2 adults, 2 children). *Both Snowbird and Alta also offer the Alta-Bird pass, which allows bearers all the benefits of a full season pass at both resorts. 

Brighton

Get the lowest prices on season passes at Brighton Resort until Sept. 27. This year Brighton has added a pass catered especially to those ages 25-30, the Millennial Pass, is available for $650 instead of the regular adult (ages 31-64) at $799. Brighton also offers a young adult pass ($499, ages 19-24), a youth pass ($299, ages 11-18), and a child pass ($50, 10 and under) as well as options to create your own family value package. On Aug. 18 and 19, Brighton is hosting Pass-A-Palooza where you can pick up or purchase a pass, featuring music, games, an outdoor BBQ, and free swag. Sundance Mountain

Season passes for Sundance Mountain Resort will be available online starting August 15 and you can snag the lowest pricing until October 31. The Adult Unlimited is available for $585 and there are options for Midweek, Night Skiing, College, and Corporate passes in addition to the youth ($299) and junior ($269) categories (discounts available with purchase of Adult Unlimited pass). Snowbasin

The lowest prices at Snowbasin are available until Sept. 4. Until then you can purchase the full access Premier Passes or Value Season Passes which come with blackout dates (12/26/17-1/1/18, 1/13-1/15, 2/17-2/19). Premier passes are divided into adult ($799, ages 27-64), young adult ($519, ages 19-26), teen ($349, ages 13-18), youth ($249, ages 7-12), and senior ($599, ages 65-74) brackets while value passes are only available as adult ($599, ages 27-64), child ($10, ages 0-6), midweek ($489, all ages), and super senior ($89, ages 75+). Powder Mountain

PowMow continues its efforts to maintain plenty of elbow room on the mountain by selling only 1,000 adult passes and 3,000 total passes for the upcoming season. Season passes here have been on sale since early this year, but you still have a chance to purchase. Currently the Adult Season Pass (ages 19-65) is available for $935, Youth (ages 13-18) for $385, Child (7-12) for $235, and Senior for $580 (ages 65-74) or $20 (ages 75+). Other Passes

Mountain Collective

The Epic Pass's biggest multi-resort-access-pass contender, the Mountain Collective, is a sweet deal for people who love to visit multiple resorts. This year, the pass is valid as sixteen resorts, including three Utah resorts: Snowbird, Alta, and Snowbasin. The earliest buyers picked up the pass for just $399, but pricing has now moved up to $469 while supplies last. Even if you're not ready to commit to the Mountain Collective pass just yet, season passholders at Snowbird, Alta, or Snowbasin can take advantage of the Mountain Collective Benefit, which gives you 50 percent off day passes at each of the Mountain Collective destinations with zero blackout dates.
