Food Bank to Continue Monthly Food Distribution, Vaccination Effort

All Faiths Food Bank—in partnership with the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall and The Bay Sarasota—is holding the third of five monthly large-scale food distributions at the Van Wezel. The June installment takes place this Saturday, June 19, from 9-11 a.m. at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Future distributions are scheduled the third or fourth Saturday of every month through October.
Additionally, the Sarasota County Health Department and regional coalition Shots in Arms will offer Covid-19 vaccinations during the drive-through food distribution. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be available for community members ages 18-plus who have not yet been vaccinated. The first 100 people who are vaccinated on-site will receive a gift card.
