In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, JFCS of the Suncoast will be providing 1,800 meals from Paradise Grill at five different locations during the week of March 29th. All locations will utilize low-contact drive-through or walk-up procedures to distribute the meals, which will include sautéed chicken breasts, mashed potatoes, green beans and a cookie. Those in need of a meal are encouraged to show up to any of the locations below on the appropriate date and time. Meals will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.


Hunger’s End and the Blessing Bags Project will serve meals at 1802 14th St. W. from 10 a.m.–noon on Wednesday, March 31, and will be delivering meals to senior housing, as well.


Living Hope Church will serve meals at San Casa Park (6791 San Casa Drive) from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. and at Indian Mound Park (210 Winson Ave.) from 5–8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30.

North Port:

Awaken Church will serve meals on-site at the church (2573 N. Toledo Blade Blvd.) from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, April 1.

Sarasota (Newtown):

JFCS staff and volunteers will serve meals at the Betty J. Johnson North Sarasota Public Library in Newtown (2801 Newtown Blvd.) from 4– 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 1.


One Christ Won City Church will be serving meals during the 9:00 a.m. at Community Assistance Ministry at 9:30 a.m. during the Coffee Talk at the Venice Train Depot (303 E. Venice Ave.), and 11 a.m. at the Center for Hope (2395 Shamrock Drive) on Tuesday, March 30. One Christ Won City Church will also be serving meals at the Center for Hope (2395 Shamrock Drive) at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 1.
