A midcentury-modern classic designed by Victor Lundy, an elegant lakeside residence in Oyster Bay, a Siesta Key coastal contemporary and two other notable homes will be featured in the Junior League of Sarasota’s 43rd annual Tour of Homes Feb. 28 and 29.
Tour-goers also will experience culinary and floral demonstrations, cocktails and handcrafted artisan wares for purchase at the various homes; and they will be able to buy a box to fill with home-baked cookies at the popular Cookies for a Cause bake sale. On Saturday, from 3 to 6 p.m., tour-goers are invited to Cine Bistro for a “Toast of the Tour” happy hour.
Tickets for the Junior League Tour of Homes are $35 in advance, and are available here; $40 at the door.
In addition, VIP Trolley Tour tickets are available for $100; they provide private transportation to each home, a guided tour from a Sarasota history and architecture expert, complimentary champagne and a light lunch.
Proceeds from the Tour of Homes benefit Junior League’s community initiatives, including its signature Hunger Outreach project, which collaborates with other area nonprofits to provide classes on how to shop economically for food and prepare nutritious, low-cost meals.
