Florida Digestive Health Specialists recently hired Dr. Jaime Baquero, a board-certified gastroenterologist with more than 18 years of experience treating digestive health disorders. Baquero will be providing comprehensive and advanced care for GI issues at Sarasota Center for Digestive Disease. He and his family moved to the area from Somersworth, N.H.; he earned his medical degree from Colombia-based Escuela Colombiana de Medicina, then went on to complete his residency at Harvard Medical School and his gastroenterology fellowship at Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Clinic. Baquero is the third gastroenterologist Florida Digestive Health Specialists has hired in less than a year to serve the Sarasota area. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
