The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) is partnering with local employers and technical schools to connect women to free Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training programs and guaranteed jobs with starting wages in the $13 to $15 per hour range. As part of is part of its monthly Career Connections program, WRC is hosting a free information session on Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 1-3 p.m., at its Sarasota location. Representatives from Suncoast Technical College, Manatee Technical College, Westminster Point Pleasant, and Tidewell Hospice will offer information about classes, scholarships, employment and other opportunities. Sarasota Memorial Hospital will also share its “Earn While You Learn” program, in which employees can become CNAs while working at the hospital.
