Patients at Venice Regional Bayfront Health are now able to access palliative care services—specialized medical care for individuals living with serious illness—at the hospital through a collaboration with Connexis Medical Services. It is provided together with curative treatment and is focused on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of the illness. Palliative care consultations are covered by Medicare and most private insurance companies.
