Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute held a groundbreaking ceremony Monday for the practice's new $16 million facility in Lakewood Ranch. The new cancer center will measure approximately 10,820 square feet, with 38 chemotherapy chairs, 10 examination rooms, a fixed imaging suite and more. The new facility is being designed and built by Optimal Outcomes, LLC to increase operational efficiencies for providers while also enhancing patient experiences and reducing stress. The facility is expected to open next summer.
