Parkinson's Foundation Launches 'Distinguished Speaker' Series Saturday

The Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s is launching its Distinguished Speaker series this Saturday, Nov. 4, at the State College of Florida's Neel Performing Arts Hall, 5840 26th St. W., Bradenton. The featured speaker will be Dr. Jeffrey Cameron, a physiatrist at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital who specializes in Parkinson’s. Cameron will be speaking on the “Role of Diet in Preserving Brain Function and Slowing the Progression of Parkinson’s Disease." Also speaking will be Manatee County chief of paramedicine Jimmy Crutchfield on “Understanding How to Respond to Emergency Situations in Your Home.” Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.; the program runs from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Although there is no charge, pre-registration is required.
