Intercoastal Medical Group recently hired two new primary care physicians at its Lakewood Ranch office: internal medicine physician Ryan Asterita, M.D., and family practice physician Daniel Johnson, M.D. Asterita earned his medical degree from St. George’s University of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, then completed his residency in internal medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. Johnson, meanwhile, received his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed his residency in family practice at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. Before joining Intercoastal, Johnson practiced medicine at the North River Family Health Center in Palmetto for 10 years.
