Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida chief executive officer Barbara Zdravecky announced last week that she will retire in January 2018 after 24 years as the organization's leader. Planned Parenthood currently serves over 45,000 patients at 11 health care clinics in 22 counties across the state of Florida. The Planned Parenthood board has begun the search for a new CEO, a process it hopes to complete before the end of this year. 941CEO's sister publication Sarasota Magazine profiled Zdravecky in 2015.
