The Pittsburgh Pirates and the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (better known as LECOM) announced on Friday that the Pirates' Bradenton spring training and minor league ballpark will be renamed from McKechnie Field to LECOM Park. The new name is part of a 15-year naming rights agreement signed by the team and the college. Bradenton has hosted the Pirates spring training season every year since 1969 and is also home to the Bradenton Marauders, the team’s Single-A affiliate.
