The Kiwanis Club of Sarasota recently donated $4,274 to Goodwill Manasota’s Veterans Services Program. The money was raised by selling tickets to the second annual Sarasota Kiwanis Veterans Day Breakfast, held in 2015. Launched in 2013, Goodwill Manasota’s Veterans Services Program helps eliminate barriers to employment and provides opportunities for higher-paying positions for veterans and their families, as well as connects veterans with crucial social services.

Three Perlman Music Program/Suncoast alumni recently performed for 60 students ages 5-8 at Visible Men Academy. Violist Molly Carr, cellist Oded Hadar and pianist Yannick Rafalimanana performed with the goal of inspiring the next generation of potential concert artists, educators and audiences. Visible Men's mission is to offer boys from low-income communities a high-quality education in a nurturing environment.
