It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas...as holiday entertainment is headed our way. Case in point: this Family Night show at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, a Broadway-style musical that tips its hat to circus artistry. Expect ballerinas, snowmen, reindeer, gingerbread people, ornaments and more to come to life. At 7:30 p.m. Monday; get tickets by calling (941) 263-6799 or at vanwezel.org.

Dave Koz and Friends

Nov. 30

Here’s another holiday tradition, with saxophonist Koz’s annual tribute to the season. He’s joined by guitarist/singer Jonathan Butler, trumpeter Rick Braun, fellow sax man Richard Elliot and vocalist Rebecca Jade for an evening of Christmas classics (and a Hanukkah medley), onstage at the Van Wezel, at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Again, check it out at vanwezel.org.

Joyful! Joyful!

Dec. 1-30

Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe unwraps a brand-new holiday show, courtesy of creator Nate Jacobs and a cast of WBTT faces both familiar and new. They offer a mix of traditional tunes, gospel and pop numbers, and their very own version of the “Hallelujah Chorus.” Get tickets by calling (941) 366-1505 or visiting westcoastblacktheatre.org.
