A free Jazz in the Park concert with three bands at Phillippi Estate Park Sunday afternoon kicks off the 40th annual Sarasota Jazz Festival—seven days of nonstop musical joy, including a trolley pub crawl Wednesday evening, a screening of a jazz-related documentary, and a full day of music by eight bands on four stages, as well as The Manhattan Transfer headlining mainstage concerts at the Municipal Auditorium next weekend.
