Asolo Rep Presents Lauren Yee's fast-paced new comedic drama about a young San Francisco man who talks his way onto a basketball team traveling to Beijing for a “friendship” game and finds himself in the middle of the Cultural Revolution. Through April 11 in the FSU Center’s intimate Cook Theatre.
The Sarasota Jazz Festival grooves on, in a Thursday evening concert with piano legend Dick Hyman, clarinetist Ken Peplowski and more; Friday night with the remarkable vocalist Clairdee; Saturday afternoon a Jazz Party taking place on five stages; and Saturday night with the multi Grammy Award-winning vocal quartet, The Manhattan Transfer.
