Sailor Circus: Let It Snow

While most of us are still resting up from eating and unwrapping on Christmas Day, the young, talented students performing in our long-running Sailor Circus troupe are taking to the air with their annual winter circus show. It’s onstage at the Sailor Circus Arena, 2075 Bahia Vista St., and masks are encouraged; negative Covid-19 test or vaccination record required. Get your tickets at circusarts.org.

Selby Gardens: Lights in Bloom

Dec. 26-30; Jan. 1 and 2

If you haven’t yet made your way to this spectacle of lights at Selby’s downtown campus, you still have a few more opportunities, but don’t delay. More than 2 million lights are on display, plus there are activities for the kids and food and beverages for sale throughout the gardens. Get your tickets in advance at selby.org. 

Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe: Joyful! Joyful!

Pinecraft Christmas Parade

Dec. 25

This annual parade taking place in the heart of our Amish and Mennonite community usually draws over 1,000 spectators. Participants assemble in the parking lot at Der Dutchman restaurant, 3713 Bahia Vista St., beginning at 1 p.m., and the parade starts about 3 p.m. Bring a lawn chair for a sidewalk seat. P.S.
