An exhibit highlighting the variety of threatened costal wildlife species along our shores opens Nov. 1, at the Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast's Bay Preserve, 400 Palmetto Ave., Osprey.

Photographer and writer Mary Lundeberg is the artist at work, but the stars of Share the Shore are really the birds and sea turtles that make their nests on our beaches. A full-time resident of Englewood, Lundeberg has shown her work in juried art galleries in several states and been published in books, magazines, calendars and newspapers. She has also won awards including a Philip Hyde Conservation Grant from the North American Nature Photography Association.

The show will be on view through Dec. 31, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. There's also an artist's reception at 5 p.m. Nov. 17, and a virtual presentation at 10 a.m. Nov. 16 titled "Beach-Nesting Wildlife and the Challenges They Face."

Limited-edition prints of some of Lundeberg's works will be available for sale to benefit the Conservation Foundation.
