Bradenton Blues Festival

Dec. 5

Yes, the annual blues bash doesn’t take place for a couple of weeks, but the online box office closes at 11:59 p.m. Nov. 22, and tickets will NOT be available at the gate, so we’re giving you advance notice. This year’s fest moves to LECOM Park with social distancing in effect, and runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a lineup including Selwyn Birchwood, Mud Morganfield, Kat Riggins, a tribute to bluesman Lucky Peterson, and closers Billy Branch & the Sons of Blues. Sarasota Ballet All-Balanchine Program

Nov. 20-24

The Sarasota Ballet’s digital program this month offers works by master choreographer George Balanchine, including his Tarantella, extracts from The Four Temperaments and Who Cares?, the pas de deux from Donizetti Variations and the Adagio from Western Symphony. Denim By the Diamond Country Music Event

Enjoy country-styled themed food stations, a silent auction and live music by Stone Buckle, from 6 to 10 p.m. at CoolToday Park on West Villages Parkway in Venice. SaraSolo Virtual Fall Fest

This event highlighting solo performances will still take place this year, albeit from the safety of your home, as you watch filmed one-person shows featuring Kuniko Yamamoto (Origami: Monologue), Blake Walton (Leading Men), Slake Counts (Becoming Burroughs) and Booker High senior Kaity Cairo (Chubby Little Jew Meets Skinny Little Italian Boy). Sarasota Contemporary Dance+ Piazzolla

SCD continues its 15^th anniversary season with collaborative performances with renowned harpist Ann Hobson Pilot. Choreographer Leymis Bolaños Wilmott’s work here is inspired by the music of Astor Pantaleon Piazzolla; Pilot’s arrangement for harp, violin and bandoneon is likewise inspired by Piazzolla’s compositions. Venice MainStreet Chocolate Walk

Florida Turkey Trot

Nov. 25 and 26

The third annual run-walk event will be a bit different this year due to Covid-19 restrictions, but it will still take place over two days, featuring both an in-person run and a virtual event. Staggered starts will ensure distancing and safety, with runners selecting their start time beginning at 4 p.m. Nov. 25 and continuing through Thanksgiving morning. Venice Symphony Virtual Concert: Strings Unhinged

The orchestra presents its first of four free virtual concerts this season, with music director Troy Quinn leading socially distanced musicians performing works recorded at the Venice Performing Arts Center. Rosemary Ramble

The Hermitage Artist Retreat: The Making of a Musical
