Florida Power & Light Announces Recipient of $20,000 Robotics Scholarship

Pine View School senior Lucas Giffard has been selected as the recipient of Florida Power & Light's annual $20,000 robotics scholarship. 

Giffard has been involved with robotics since his freshman year and was elected president of the Jungle Robotics team when he was a junior. He was selected to the prestigious nationwide FIRST Robotics Dean’s List, and this fall, he will begin a double major in robotics engineering and mechanical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts. Giffard is the fourth recipient of the annual FPL scholarship, which consists of $5,000 annually, up to $20,000, to assist with his college career.
