FCCI Insurance Group was founded in Sarasota, Florida, by a small group of contractors who formed a self-insurance workers’ compensation fund. Today, FCCI has 850 teammates across six regions, doing business in 19 states, plus D.C., and continues to grow. FCCI is known for providing exceptional customer service to its agents and policyholders. FCCI writes commercial property and casualty insurance, surety and agribusiness, and is rated A (Excellent) by A.M. Best Company. Since 1959, FCCI has made a tremendous impact on its communities through a culture of charitable giving and volunteerism. This year, FCCI celebrates 60 years of keeping promises to its agents and policyholders.

1959: FCCI’s first ledger, documenting the commencement of business. The ledger shows its humble beginnings with $3,776.11 in its bank account. Today, FCCI’s investment portfolio and total assets are $2.4 billion.

1961: 1490 First Street downtown Sarasota. This building housed the office of the Sarasota Builders Exchange, along with Gilbert Waters Associates public relations firm and FCCI’s operations. 

2001: FCCI relocated its corporate headquarters to a state-of-the-art, 260,000-square-foot building in Lakewood Ranch.

2018: FCCI teammates volunteering at the Celery Fields in Sarasota. FCCi provides teammates with up to eight hours of company-paid time each year for volunteerism. To date, they’ve donated 13,748 hours.
