Sandwich Night at Indigenous

Aug. 8

Indigenous' Wednesday Sandwich Nights are still going strong—this week's offering is a pork belly reuben with pickled banana peppers, Thousand Island dressing, locally made sauerkraut, Gruyere cheese and a side of bacon-basil coleslaw, plus a craft beer or glass of wine for $18. Harry's Continental Kitchen Wine Dinner

Aug. 10

Head to Harry's for a five-course wine dinner with restaurant sommeliers Harry and Hal Christensen and Marine Vandenbossche of Les Grands Chais de France. Courses include mussels meuniere, snapper souffle, a fried green tomato BLT, New York strip steak and a white chocolate-raspberry souffle, all with wine pairings. Woodstock Revival Festival

Aug. 11

Head to the Sarasota Farmers Market for the second annual Woodstock Revival. This year’s event will span three blocks of downtown Sarasota with interactive activities for the whole family. (The Sarasota Farmers Market will be open for normal operating hours, 7 a.m.-1 p.m.)  Retro revival band Paisley Craze will take the stage in the “Woodstock Village”  on First Street; activities will be available for kids including a rock wall, high jumpers, a free photo booth, peace sign painting and water slide. There will also be a "best dressed hippie" contest (with prizes for best individual, couple and dog), a vintage VW show, a bicycle helmet giveaway from Friends of The Legacy Trail, a tiny house expo and more.

Baker & Wife Pizza Workshops

August 13, 27

Join executive chef Isaac Correa for a family-style dinner and learn how to craft the perfect pizza with his special recipes, techniques and tricks. This interactive class will show guests how to sauce and top their pizza before cooking it in a wood-fired oven. After dinner, all attendees will receive recipes and surprise gifts. The class limit is 12 participants and it takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $55 per person and reservations can be made by calling (941) 960-1765

Venice Wine Walk

Aug. 16

Grab a bunch of thirsty friends and get to downtown Venice's Cafe Venice to sip, stroll and shop your way around town. 5-8 p.m.
