Providing opportunity to children and families
Ranking in the top 1 percent of head start providers in the country, Children First empowers vulnerable children and families in our community each day. The exclusive Head Start and Early Head Start provider for Sarasota County offers full-day preschool, infant and toddler care, nutritious meals, health screenings, and family support services to at-risk children from birth to 5 years old. In addition to these wrap-around services, the agency’s Families First Institute also offers free courses to the public on topics like parenting, budgeting, and career readiness to help families build better lives.
More than 93 percent of families enrolled at Children First live at or below the federal poverty level and receive these services at no cost. While there is a waiting list, more than 700 children annually have the opportunity to reach their full potential because of your investment in them. Thank you!
