Two inspiring women of the Sarasota YMCA, Brena Slater and Debbie Trimble, work together to bring foster kids and their families a better tomorrow.

Brena joined the Sarasota YMCA in 2013, bringing 27 years of child welfare experience. She is navigating the opioid crisis that struck Manatee and Sarasota counties. She sits on the following boards: Florida Coalition for Children, First Step of Sarasota, Drug Free Manatee and Central Florida Behavioral Health Network.  

Debbie joined the Sarasota YMCA in 2018, joining the senior leadership team, and brings over 20 years of experience. She is responsible for connecting a donor’s passion to the Y mission, which allows the Y to continue to serve over 50,000 people annually.
