The Education Foundation of Sarasota County recently hired Suzanne Burke as the director of its College, Career and Life Readiness Initiative and hired Rebecca Lewis and Jenna Thiel as members of the team, as well. Burke will serve as a liaison with the Sarasota County school district and school campuses, as well as community partners, focusing on increasing students' readiness for postsecondary success. Lewis, a college career adviser at Riverview High School, previously worked in admissions and advising at local colleges. Thiel, a college career adviser at North Port High School, worked in education for 14 years as a recruiter and academic adviser before joining the Education Foundation.
