The Gulf Coast Community Foundation recently hired Veronica Thames as the organization's senior vice president for talent and innovation and chief operating officer. Thames currently serves as vice president of human resources at Blake Medical Center, part of the Healthcare Corporation of America, for which she has worked since 2006. She plans to begin her new role in August.
