Florida's annual gross domestic product topped $1 trillion last week, according to research by the Florida Chamber Foundation. If Florida were an independent nation, it would rank as the 17th largest economy in the world, according to the Foundation. Florida trails only California, Texas and New York in a ranking of U.S. states with the largest economies.
