JFCS of the Suncoast is launching a new society for young philanthropists called BeyondMe, an effort to connect those between the ages of 21 and 45 with local nonprofits and charities. “The goal is that by educating and engaging the younger generation about what different charities do, they will one day become donors and supporters of the organizations that resonate with them through this program," said JFCS chief development officer Laura McManus-Mesia, according to a press release. The organization is hosting a kickoff party for the new society from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, July 16, at Michael's Wine Cellar, 1283 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. The event will include live music, food and an open bar. Register online.
