DeVita Ranch, a grand equestrian ranch set on more than 100 acres at 600 N. Jackson Road in Venice Farms, has sold for $8.6 million after an original list price of $9.45 million. The main house, built in 2003 in the Tuscan style, has 19,000-plus square feet of living space with eight bedrooms, 13 full baths and four half-baths; there are caretakers’ quarters, tennis courts, a 22-stall barn and a five-furlong oval horse track. The listing agent was Mark Quire of Keller Williams on the Water; the selling agent was Lori Carey of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty.

Carey did not divulge details about the new homeowner, saying in a written statement, “Honoring our client’s request for confidentiality, I’ll merely state that a sale of this magnitude is evidence of the desirability and strength of Sarasota County’s ultra-luxury market."
